About the Role
To establish and define goals, policies, and directives that drive major decisions and govern business and programs.
To appoint and remove, employ and discharge, and prescribe the duties and fix the compensation, if any, of all officers, agents, and employees.
To delegate and monitor the performance of Executive Director and staff, if applicable.
To meet at such times and places for regular Board Meetings.
To provide for the financial needs of the organization through personal donations or community engagement.
Requirements
Strong commitment to the mission and values of The Fountain Fund
Passion for community and an interest in board service
3+ years of experience serving within their area of expertise
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to think strategically and contribute to organizational growth
Willingness to dedicate time and effort to support the organization’s activities and events
Resident of the Kansas City Metropolitain Area
Willing to serve a 2-year term with the opportunity for renewal upon completion
